Action, comedy, animation, drama: expect this and more from Short Shorts from Europe Film Festival – a selection of European short films from the home countries of eight members of EUNIC Ireland (European Union National Institutes for Culture). Let Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain and the UK entertain you with a variety of genres from contemporary, cutting-edge filmmakers. Cork International Film Festival, the IFI and Limerick School of Art and Design will also present short films from Ireland on the programme.

After the screening the audience will be asked to vote for their favourite film via their smartphone.


This event is brought to you by the EUNIC Ireland network which is composed of: Alliance Française / French Embassy, the Austrian Embassy, the British Council, the Bulgarian Embassy, Culture Ireland, the Goethe-Institut, the Greek Embassy, the Instituto Cervantes/Spanish Agency for the International Cooperation and Development (AECID), the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, the Polish Embassy and the Embassy of Portugal / Camões Instituto da Cooperação e da Língua Portugal / Agência da Curta Metragem; in association with the Irish Film Institute, Cork International Film Festival, Pálás Cinema Galway, the Limerick School of Art and Design (LIT) & the Richard Harris International Film Festival.


EUNIC – the European Union National Institutes for Culture – is the European network of organisations engaging in cultural relations. It advocates a prominent role of culture in international relations and is a strategic partner of the EU.
