Just Fine' borrows in tone from the literary works of Raymond and Ernest Hemingway in finding drama in the un-dramatic, two old school friends - Will and Dean - over the course of one night as they seek to reconnect ahead of a looming departure. Will, at a loss with his path in life, strikes a sharp contrast with the well-travelled wild spirit of Dean. However, over the course of a night's reminiscing and a bottle of whiskey, these two friends find that their respective paths may still have led to no greatly different an emotional destination.
