Cork International Film Festival proudly presents a special online programme of Irish language short films selected from its 65th Festival edition in 2020.

Created with past and present pupils from Gaelscoil Coláiste Mhuire, ‘Iarscoláire’ (‘Past Pupil’) is a stylistic meditation on education, displacement, and the attachments we form to the spaces we grow up in.

‘Dúirt Tú’ (‘You Said’) is the story of a break-up and a breakdown in communication. Two former partners are divided by distance. One wishes to reconnect, the other refuses to answer the call.

Michael, a man living in the rural west of Ireland, spends his days constructing something in his workshop with only his dog for companionship. When his life is again shattered, he must complete the means to escape his existence.
