Danish filmmaker Lars Ostenfeld takes the audience on a spectacular cinematic journey into Greenland’s vast ice sheets. In the company of three of the world’s leading climate scientists (Jason Box, Dorthe Dahl-Jensen and Alun Hubbard), Ostenfeld explores what the rapid deterioration of this huge reservoir of frozen water means for a planet increasingly in the grip of an ecological catastrophe. Following British glaciologist Hubbard into the majestic depths of this icy realm, the film also captures the dedicated risk-taking of those, like Hubbard, who attempt to document such beguiling and treacherous terrain.
