Amy Rowan, one of Ireland’s leading casting directors, breaks down the practicalities of her work in casting, an often unsung yet integral part of film development, discussing how to work with directors and producers, the driving forces behind the casting process, and best practice for dealing with agents and talent.

Amy is Co-ordinator of Professional Development for the acting degree programme at The Lir Academy, Ireland’s National Academy of Dramatic Art at Trinity College Dublin. She is a founding member of the International Network of Casting Directors.
